The 19 inch fanless medical grade panel PC WMP-19A and 21.5 inch WMP-22A both come with the 5th generation Intel Broadwell-based i7-5500U 2.40G (Passmark: 3962) / i5-5200U 2.20G (Passmark: 3505). There is a performance improvement over the previous generation WMP-197 / WMP-227, and the graphics capabilities have also been improved significantly. In addition, the new USB3.0 port and video output display port can connect to two independent external monitors and support up to three different images simultaneously.
The Broadwell CPU uses less power consumption with better performance, an improved battery life, and an increase in performance over the Haswell CPU. There is a significant improvement and performance gains of 10 to 30 percent in battery life with the Broadwell CPU. The processor also supports brand new features such as 4K, wireless display, and a built-in security with fast data encryption.
WMP-19A/22A comes with PCI-E x 4 expansion slots, which are specifically designed for demanding applications such as medical image capture card. The high-speed input and output expansion slots can meet the needs of various medical equipment and developmental platforms.
WMP-19A / 22A uses Wincomm’s unique medical panel PC design of anti-bacterial plastic that suppresses the growth of MRSA by up to 95%. The anti-bacterial formula is mixed into the PC+ABS plastic so the housing itself has anti-bacterial properties that are not compromised even when sterilized with alcohol swabs on a regular basis.The WMP-19A/22A have projective capacitive touch screen (10 points), zoom in/out content, and single finger swiping operations. Since many users in the medical field are often required to wear gloves, Wincomm has increased and strengthened the sensitivity of its PCT touch screen, allowing users wearing up to four layers of latex gloves to easily operate the machine.
In addition, to meet the cleaning standard of a medical environment, WMP-19A / 22A have a front frame IP65 waterproof rating, so the medical staff can use alcohol wipes. A key design features Clean Me. Pressing it will enable a lock screen, so the user does not need to shutdown the computer.
The optional built-in battery is also available as backup battery solution. It can provide power to the unit for up to 20 minutes in the event out of a hospital electricity outage, allowing the nurses enough time to save the data.
WMP-19A/22A have optional Isolation LAN、COM and USB ports. The main function is divided into two parts, signal isolation and high voltage insulation. Signal isolation can block noise and improve the transmission quality of the signal. The high-voltage insulation is needed because the Panel PC is often used in conjunction with medical instruments. Isolation ensures that the instrument and the panel PC will not affect each other. Signal and voltage feedback loops are eliminated assuring that the Panel PC and medical equipment will not interfere with each other and patient safety is not compromised due to high voltage issues.
